In 2020, the United States celebrated the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment which granted women in the U.S. the right to vote. As a woman-owned company, we were extremely proud to participate in the legacy of advancing all women and this tremendous anniversary. Although this is a historic milestone for women’s suffrage, it is important to note that Black, Hispanic, and Native American women weren’t afforded the right to vote until later in the century. For a part of our celebration, we created a campaign to get our network involved. Our goal was to develop a campaign to encourage women of all walks of life to lend their voice to emphasize the importance of women making their votes count in the 2020 election. Responses were incorporated into our new voter awareness PSA, “Voice Your Vote” and promoted on our social media channels.
As we move forward to the 2022 midterms next year, it is critical that women begin to plan how, where, when, and who they plan to vote for. We encourage all women to take a look at the major issues in their districts and note who has filed to run for local and state positions.
